Seth Barnes writes about the gifts of the Spirit on the same weekend that my pastor preaches about us being filled with the Spirit of God, thus making us a Sacred Place… pretty sure that’s not coincidental.

This teacher in South Africa got fined for having 19 children in her car.  I was looking for the kid with the water-squirting flower to get out of the car…

We had our 1-year post-adoption visit for Isaac Sunday.  We passed!  I’ll be posting about our first year with Big I soon.

Midtown is growing–we’re adding a second worship gathering this Sunday (10/21) at the beautiful State Theatre.  We’ll be there at 9:30 and 11:15.

Just about the time that I adjusted/resigned myself to root for the Cardinals (the Spikes are now part of the Cardinals’ family) they tanked against the Giants.  Oh well.  Maybe tomorrow.

How about a poll?
iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S III vs other?

I’d go for the Nokia Lumia 920 – out in a few weeks.

It also has free music streaming, offline maps… the downside is it’s not an iProduct so it may not be as cool. But that doesn’t bother me…

been an iphone family for years… love it… so many uses – not just as a “keep a kid occupied” device!

Hi, I spoke with you two Sundays ago about Mushrooms and getting into prayer activities. God is good!
Two things: 1. Galaxy SIII (just got it, its awesome)
2. God is working. I have a website above- Deviant Art account with an even more knowledgeable scientist than I from France standing up to me from his Atheist perspective on abortion, God, creation, etc. But its funny, because every time I get a response God GIVES me the words… I told him if he was interested I would probably be posting more in the future about Creation based on reading “In the Beginning- Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood” by Dr. Walt Brown and my findings with my own involvement in the Science and Bible Study club on campus and said if he was interested he should start watching the group! (AND I’M SHOCKED, but he IS!) I just recently started going to group therapy for interpersonal anxiety, and just got prescribed Ridalin even though I’ve never been on any kind of focus meds before and I am a grad student, so its weird that God is HELPING me focus where it counts! Now that I am totally devoted to his purposes. The deviant art group is growing as well, and I am even seeing the members (many Christian denominations working together- yes there have been arguments, but none we can’t handle)! PRAISE GOD!

Wow, Emmie, that’s good stuff! Thanks for sharing. Did you go to the Flood prayer gathering last weekend? It sounds like you’d really like it!
