Having a wedding on a Friday night has done a number on my brain.  I didn’t expect to be so affected, but I’ve had trouble keeping track of the last few days, and I think it’s because of the disturbance to the space/time continuum of that Friday wedding.

Have you ever had your internal clock so thrown off that you weren’t sure what day it was?

  • Isaac has been to 2 State College Spikes games (Sunday and Monday) at which he has collected 2 free hotdogs and 2 baseballs.  That kid shines.
  • We spent several hours in the yard today prepping for the midtown 4th of July party.  If you’re on the fence about coming, let me sweeten the pot: Isaac will be here!  If you are able to bring some food to share, A-M brings a salad/side, N-Z brings a dessert.
  • This was our 3rd weekend for Calvary midtown to worship at the State Theatre.  I am loving it!  And our teams are doing such great work with the adjustment.  What a blessing to work with great people.
  • Kim and I met with Mark and Hannah tonight to talk about their wedding.  Mark cooked supper (yay Mark!)  Their wedding (in Sept) will be my 7th of the summer, and should put the wraps on wedding season.
  • My friend and fellow Calvary pastor Steve Lutz is in the hospital in Philly.  Turns out that a ruptured appendix is bad for you.  Pray for Steve and his fam.
  • Had a great conversation with a gentleman last night about some baseball & ministry possibilities in the Dominican Republic.  My interest is piqued!
  • Levi, Lilly, Sadie, and I are in Fiddler this summer at the State Theatre.  The show leadership sent out a memo saying that from this point on there shall be no haircuts, hair color, or shaving.  I can’t wait to see what Sadie looks like with a beard!
  • I have to give props to my wife.  We celebrated 22 years of wedded bliss over the weekend.  She’s even more wonderful and beautiful than I knew way back when.  And I’ve been blown away with her ability to manage our family’s schedules.  She’s amazing.
So how was your weekend?  Did a Friday wedding get you all discombobulated?

No Friday wedding here, but family from out of town and missing church on Sunday is throwing off my week.

No matter how many times I see it, that picture never gets old… 😉

I’ll take that as a compliment! You may take it as comedic relief…that’s your call. 🙂
