You’re probably thinking that I’m headed toward the Inauguration of Barack Obama.

We watched it today after our staff meeting.  Impressive, but that’s not where I’m a-goin’.

My wife was born on this day, 40 years ago.  This is a happy birthday post.

Kim is the most incredible person I know.  She’s the one who makes my heart jump into my throat (that’s a good thing), who knows how to encourage me and challenge me, who helps me be a better man-person-husband-father-friend…she’s incredibly wise, and a gifted leader.  She thinks strategically, sees all sides of the situation.  She is fun, and makes our house a home.  Kim’s a great mom.  She’s got the gift of hospitality.  People love her, trust her, believe in her, listen to her.  She’s talented and creative, and thinks outside the box (at times!)  Kim is a learner, always growing, listening to the voice of Jesus.  She is passionate and committed, humble and gentle, joyfully optimistic, and willing to risk.  She’s not afraid of change or the difficult conversation.  She gives grace.  Kim is beautiful on the inside, and on the outside!

I could go on and on talking about the things Kim is.  Seriously.  But she reads this blog, and I don’t want her to get the big head and ruin everything.

Bottom line is this:  My wife is the best.

I married up, that’s for sure.

Nicely put, nicely put. All I could come up with was “We love the stuffing out of her” – you are much more eloquent in your speech my friend.
