How do you know you’re being loved?  And how do the people around you know that you’re loving them?  You’re read the 5 Love Languages, haven’t you?  The 5 are Touch, Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Gifts, and Quality Time.  (I’m pretty sure that those appear in order of importance and function, at least for me!)

I was looking for love on display today.  Amazingly enough, I was able to spot love hanging out around me all day long.

My family prayed for me this morning before we left the breakfast table…LOVE.
My buddy Andy invited me over so that we could catch up…LOVE.
A couple of PSU students met with me to talk about how they could serve…LOVE.
My buddy Doug came over to replace my truck muffler…LOVE.
Kim stayed up late doing math homework with Sadie…LOVE.
(Kim doesn’t love math, but she does love Sadie!)
A friend emailed to see how my week was going & invited me to get outside tomorrow…LOVE

Any way you slice it, no matter how you give or receive it, that’s a whole lotta love.  It was almost as though once I started looking for love I could spot it everywhere.  Well, almost everywhere.  I’m pretty sure that the bicyclist who was communicating, keeping up foreign relations, you know…(anybody got the next line?)  Yeah, that guy wasn’t spreading the love.  He needed to be loved…

It was a good day.

The winner of yesterday’s comment drawing was Laurie!  Congrats to you, Laurie.  We’ll put together a little Team Sublett prize pack and get that out to you.  And thanks to everybody else who participated.  It was fun reading your responses!  We may try another round next week…
