Last night at the supper table, Kim noted that in a few days, her Big 3 dreams will have come to realization.  Before we got married, Kim told me that she knew three things about her future:
1.  She wanted to marry a youth pastor.
2.  She wanted to be a Mary Kay lady.
3.  She wanted to adopt someday.

As I’ve already mentioned, I was pretty cool with the first two, but highly doubtful about the third.  I wasn’t open to adoption.  Then God got my by the heart.  I visited an orphanage in the DR (Rose of Sharon) with Calvary.  My heart began to change.  Now I couldn’t be more pro-adoption.  It’s a remarkable transformation that has taken place…

But what’s next for Kim?  That’s what she was asking.

I wonder what God wants for me now–now that the three big things that God put in my heart have happened.

Have you ever found yourself at the end of your dream?  Maybe the dream was realized; maybe the dream died.  Or maybe the dream morphed into something altogether different and wonderful.  What do you do when you’re at the turning of the page?

For us, it means a time to celebrate God’s faithfulness, and ours.  We’ve tried hard to follow Jesus, to listen to his voice, to hold on to the dream through difficult times.  We can look back and see God’s hand, clear places of divine intervention, unmistakable moments of God’s provision.  We don’t think we’ve done everything without fault, but we know that we have been faithful and obedient.

The reaching of a milestone, the arrival of the dream means that it’s time to ask God what he wants to do with us next.  We’re in a new chapter of life and ministry, and we’re excited about new opportunities.  I don’t know that we have anything as tangible as Kim’s Big 3 on the table just yet, but I know that we’ll be listening for God to speak to us, ready to step out into the next chapter of the adventure.

What dreams have you seen God bring to pass in your life?  What dream are you working toward now?
