If you do it two years in a row, does that make it a family tradition?  We might be onto something here in Happy Valley.  Team Sublett descended once again upon Harvest Fields (where Calvary has our offices) today to mark Memorial Day.  We splashed in the pond to beat the heat, grilled up some delicious foodstuffs to eat, and finished the day with ice cream…sweet.

Levi was a hit with the little kids, keeping them entertained and in a non-drowned state.  Parents like that.  Lilly and her friend Lydia spent a lot of time paddling around in kayaks.  All the other kids spent most of the day in the water.  We had some other families & friends join us for the day, and it was just what the doctor ordered.

Charlie started to bug out a little toward the end of the day, so I took him for a little spin in my kayak.  He loved it, and we spent the next hour or so floating along, laughing and splashing.  I think he might be a boater!  And it turns out that sunscreen makes for stupendous mohawks!
