Tuesdays are generally long days for me.  It’s a day chock full of meetings at the Calvary offices.  I’ve said before that I’m not really a meeting guy.  While I love being part of the team at Calvary, let’s just say that meetings aren’t my favorite part of the day.  So in order to spice things up a little bit, I slapped some bookends on my Tuesday meetings.

I kicked things off every Tuesday with a breakfast at the Blue Course Waffle Shop (my office away from the office) with a bunch of high school guys. The food is always good, I love the staff there, and it gives me an opportunity to catch up with some of the guys.

Then for a nightcap, I had a blast of an evening at home.  Kim whipped up a batch of stir fry featuring her very own special sauce that she crafted from ingredients found in the fridge!  We sent her off to meet with some other adoptive moms while we launched into a dance party/kitchen clean up.  Music and dancing always make the work go faster. Charlie was in fine form, which included a paper napkin tucked into his waistband like a tail.

The kicker was a 10 minute hangout with Sadie after most of the the other kids had gone to bed.  We caught the encore of Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers on PBS and chatted a little about the day’s events. Overall, the day was a win.

The meetings were good, but the bookends made the day for me.
