Camp Cross Training begins this week. I can hardly believe it…
Did you see the pictures from last year’s camp? Here they are.
Things to bring to camp
note: Please bring and (wear!) appropriate clothing for the week. This is a week of summer camp, complete with lots of outdoor activities. Ladies, no spaghetti straps, please. The weather is always cool-to-chilly, especially in the evenings. You will want a sweatshirt of jacket to keep yourself warm. We are rafting one day of the week, so bring shoes you can get wet, but not flip flops.
You will need a signed parental release form for whitewater rafting. You can get one of those from Stac, or print it from here.
1. Bathing suit (modest, one piece only)
2. alarm clock
3. Bible
4. notebook
5. pens
6. sleeping bag
7. pillow
8. sweatshirt or jacket—it will be chilly
9. rain gear (poncho, umbrella, etc.)
10. towels & washcloth
11. shower shoes (just a suggestion!)
12. insect repellent
13. sunscreen
14. sunglasses
15. flashlight
16. camera
17. plastic bag for dirty laundry
18. socks and underwear
19. Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.)
20. A little spending money. (There is a snack bar)
You know the things NOT to bring: guns, knives, drugs, tobacco, alien slime, bad attitudes, ELECTRONIC DEVICES (includes cd/tape/mp3 players!), farm animals, fireworks, snakes, Chinese water torture devices, and any/all illegal or offensive material. Thanks for being smart. Cell phones are permitted, just don’t let them become a nuisance. You will be asked to leave them in your room during the days of camp.
