It’s been like that today. Packing. Re-packing. Tracking down all the paperwork we need. Finding just the right clothes to take for Annabelle. Spending time with the kids this evening, talking, dreaming, playing, praying…it’s been a good day.
Even with the last minute wal-mart run.
Kim’s been spazzy for the last couple of days. She locked her keys in the van. Twice. I’ve been in my usual pre-trip mode…when I get stressed, I get snarky. I don’t like that about myself. I want to change that.
It looks like all the bags are packed, and we’re ready to hit the road in a couple of hours. I’ll do my best to keep the blog updated with news of our travels, some pictures, and the ever-unfolding story of our journey to Annabelle.
Thanks, friends. It’s been great to have the support of family and friends. Sadie’s teacher is going to let her skype us from class if she gets to missing our faces! Andy and Janet stopped by tonight to wish us well. My brother called me this morning. Kimmy and Delma stopped by after XStream. Tons of you have posted on my wall or written notes of encouragement and prayer…we definitely feel loved.
We can’t wait to get the trip started. I don’t know if I can sleep a little or not, but I should probably try. See you in a couple of weeks!
