XStream and the Barn

A few weeks ago, we asked for your input about the Barn. Has worshiping together at the barn at harvest Fields been a good experience? Would you be interested in going back out to the Barn this summer? Those of you who responded (thank you, 10-15 of you) indicated that you did grow from your time at the barn, and that it would be worth looking into trying to get back out to the Barn. We appreciate your feedback, and I don’t want you to think that we didn’t take your comments into consideration.

We value your input, and thank God that he has touched your life out at the Barn. We have been praying for ways to connect the youth of the Centre Region, and the Barn was one of the tools that we thought God could/would use to help move the student ministries of the Centre Region toward unity.

As of right now, it looks like XStream would be the only group at the Barn, and unity isn’t unity without other student ministries. There must be ways to bring our local ministries together. If the Barn isn’t the thing (and apparently, it isn’t), then we need to be praying for God to show us how to build good relationships with the other Christian youth in and around State College.

I’m sorry to have to post this, but we aren’t going to be moving out to the Barn this summer. I believe that most of us wanted to do it, but it doesn’t make sense to go out to the Barn just by ourselves. We will continue to meet at Calvary’s building Wednesday nights from 7-8:30.

Check the website for changes, but here’s the summer schedule in brief:

Sunday evenings Spring Creek Park 6-8 volleyball, frisbee, hangout

Wednesday nights Calvary’s building 7-8:30 worship, prayer, teaching, hangout

Small groups ?? ?? relationships, prayer, service

Tuesday pm PSU roller hockey rink9-?? duh, roller hockey
