Like Flint
Isaiah wrote these words:
Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
Incredible…what inspiring words. God helps. Let those words rattle around in your mind–and your soul–for a few minutes. Savor them. How do they taste?
God helps = I am confident.
God helps = I am resolute.
God helps = I need help.
God helps = I will be redeemed.
God helps = I am determined.
God helps = I can stand.
God helps = I will not be shaken.
God helps = I don’t have to fall to fear.
God helps = I will not be disappointed.
God helps = I can be forgiven.
Today, in spite of the circumstances or outlook, know that there is a God in heaven who will help you. He will give you strength. Make up your mind to stand for him, to know him, to let him strengthen you. Set your face like flint and know that you do not have to experience shame. God wants to cover our sins, to blot them out. He’s just waiting for us to come to his side, to call his name, to claim his promises.
