margin…no, not the edges of your page that you subtly increase in order to magically lengthen the content of your Literature essay. But similar.
I’m talking about the edges of your life, the white spaces, the unused, latent portions of your schedule. Much like the margins in your math notebook, these margins allow for noodling and doodling, for the occasional outburst of creativity, the wandering of the mind that leads to expression.
Without margin, employees rarely give more than the minimum expected from the job.
With margin, people are different. Positive. Creative. Bubbly. Generous with time and talent.

You’ve probably made a To-Do list before. Have you ever made a Not-To-Do list? Maybe you should spend a few minutes identifying the non-essentials, the things that you can delegate, the tasks that you can wipe off the list, the projects that you can lay to rest. If you don’t carve out some space, you’re going to be running yourself ragged, and that’s not good for anyone.
