The description is a little hinky, I know.  Sadie was the baby of our family for more than 10 years.  She managed to hold on to that title through the first 3 adoptions, but Charlie snatched that claim away from her last summer.  It’s hard to believe that she’s 11 today.

I missed most of the day, but we have plans to celebrate with her big time on an upcoming weekend.  We don’t throw parties for every member of Team Sublett every year, but this is a party year for Sadie.

Sadie is a super kid.  She’s musically inclined, a good student, and has shown more interest in outdoor things than most of her siblings.  She gets along well with everybody in our diverse family, and has as much fun playing with her oldest brother as she does with her youngest!  She’s got a great imagination and loves to create.  She paints and draws, sings and plinks around on the piano, and is showing quite an aptitude for baking.  Kim bought her a cake-pop baking set for her birthday, and Sadie took cake-pops in for her classmates today.  She’s thoughtful, tender, and I’m pretty sure that her love language is touch (she gets that from me!)

Happy birthday, tater!
