Our middle school students are out of school tomorrow. That’s cause for celebration. So we extended our middle school ministry tonight, offering a pile of games from 8-10. We called it XStended XStream, and it was a hit.
We had active competitive games, quiet games, sports games, mind games, games that got ’em running, games that made ’em stop. We even had our first ever Nerf Battle Zone (thanks Alex!) Throw in (not literally) some ice cream and chips, and you’ve got yourself a little party!
We managed to get through the night with no broken bones, minimal bloodshed, and nothing significant destroyed in the church. We saw a few new faces, too, which is a great thing. We want to be the kind of people students feel good bringing their friends to meet!
I’d call the night a win!
