Like music? Appreciate good comedy? I think I’ve got something for you. There’s a comedy/live band show this Saturday, March 29, 8-10 pm at the State College Area High School South auditorium. Tickets are $5 pre-show, $7 at the door.
MIchael Regan is a State High grad attending PSU. My interactions with him have been limited. I was his favorite blackjack dealer at the high school prom after-party 2 years ago, and he once cleaned a table for me at Chick-Fil-A. And both times he was HILARIOUS! Seriously though, he’s a talented young comic working with PSU’s Second Floor Stand-Up. And when we were handing out fliers to hundreds of high school kids Saturday night, the common reaction was, “Oh cool. Michael Regan is coming.”
The music for the evening is being provided by The Good Part. We’ve known most of these guys for years, and they’ve already made a name for themselves locally. They have been recognized as one of the top young bands in Happy Valley, which will doubtless open the door to many more wonderful honors.
So unless you’re one of those rare people who eschew laughter and look down upon the joyful exuberance of live teenage bands, I’m fairly certain that you’d enjoy yourself this Saturday night. Let me know if you need tickets.
