Since The Wiz ended Levi and Lilly haven’t been out of the house. The Emerald City Flu bug made a nest in their innards, and they’ve been wearing out a path from bedrooms to bathrooms. Graciously, there are no pictures accompanying said report.
I still don’t know what to think about the bombing in Boston. We haven’t processed it much as a family, though I did talk to Josie and Isaac a little about it today. Charlie and I hit the streets for a run this afternoon at 4:15. We prayed as we ran. OK, I prayed as I ran. He was rolling in the jogging stroller and making faces at the people we passed.
Last weekend was CityServe. Calvary cancelled all the weekend worship gatherings so folks could go out into their neighborhoods and serve. So did you? We did. We gathered food for a food pantry in Grays Woods/Stormstown. I know that it was a good thing, but I really missed doing some manual labor, getting dirty/painty/sweaty…We may have to find some other projects to tackle in the near future.
And the Braves hit 5 homers tonight in a colossal win over the Royals. Yikes. Maybe you can’t stop the chop.
