I thought I was having a bad day.
Up at 6:15. Seriously. Had to bounce from Men’s Fraternity to go speak to some PSU seniors (SR EXIT) about finding a church after college at 8–without my daily omelet! During my talk with PSU seniors I got a call from Kim. Her van died. With Charlie and the little girl she babysits in it. While taking Lilly and Josie to school. So I rushed off to save the day, and even offered to give Kim my truck for the day. I had a bunch of meetings lined up downtown, so I’d be fine once she dropped me off.
As she drove away I realized I left my moneyclip in the truck. Oops.
During my first meeting Verizon ported my phone number away from Sprint. No phone.
No phone. No money. No truck. No way to get in touch with my lovely wife…sounds like a country song, doesn’t it?
At some point this afternoon I cracked open the Bible to do a little reading.
Hello Job, how are you? Oh…yeah.
All of a sudden the day seems a little better, my outlook a little brighter, my troubles a little lighter. Amazing what some perspective will do for me…
