It’s late, and I wasn’t going to post. But here goes.
Kim went to a conference with some folks from Happy Valley and came home ranting and raving with a renewed heart to do ministry that makes a difference.
My buddy Andy took me out for a cup of coffee tonight. We both needed to hear that the choices we make will continue to shape the destiny of our children, the course of our families.
Then I read this fascinating article about Ernest Shackleton and his men. Actually, it was more about the things they kept or left as they made their dash away from the South Pole, racing the cruel elements to save their lives.
I am reminded that I must be ever vigilant, sharpening my focus and narrowing my priorities. When I relax I drift away from the things that I would swear matter most. If I want my life to truly count, I must bear down on the most important things.
Have you determined what your most important things are? I am grateful for the reminder.

Thanks for this reminder, Stac. It’s good to step back and evaluate – whether you’re able to do this on your own or be reminded by a friend. I appreciate you writing this!
