I’ve had the last few nights off from Crucible, which has been a good thing.  We’ve capitalized on the time, hitting some of the family things that get lost to rehearsal schedules.  Monday was our first for-real sit down, un-rushed family dinner in a few weeks.  Yesterday was a tremendous day at DelGrosso’s amusement park.  Tonight Kim and I bolted from the dinner table, leaving the older young’ns to clean up while we tossed Charlie in the jogging stroller and took a nice long walk.

We’re not really walkers–never have been.  But the opportunity to spend an hour or so hoofing it around Millbrook Marsh and Spring Creek Park with the woman of my dreams is too good to pass up.  Of course, I had to really book it to keep up with Kim’s crazy sprint-walking pace, especially with me pushing Chuckles.

We ran into some friends along the way, and got to chat about all the things that the Lord is doing in our lives, our family, and our changing role at Calvary.  No doubt about it, we’re pumped about moving back into youth ministry, and believe that God is setting the stage for something good!

The Crucible is back in play starting tomorrow, when we’ll meet to make sure we can remember our lines.  We’ve got a show Friday night (8pm), a matinee Saturday (2pm) and the closing show Saturday night (8pm.)  There are good seats to be had, and I would love to have you come see this remarkable show.  The reviews (and here) have been good, but you ought to come see it for yourself.  It’s a heavy/heady show that should make you think.  Click here for tickets!
